Cheap Super Bowl Tickets

Is there such a thing as cheap superbowl tickets? Well that depends on quite a few things. First and foremost, what do you mean by the word cheap? To me, a cheap ticket is the tickets I used to buy for the nose bleed seats at the old Yankee Stadium. If that is what you are looking for, my friend, please plan to attend a super bowl party. You will not find anything remotely resembling that. In fact, even if you are one of the lucky few who is able to purchase a ticket for the Superbowl at the official price, it will cost you dearly. Last year, the official price for Superbowl tickets exceeded ,000 for the first time (of course, that was just for 25% of them. The others were mildly cheaper).

Then again, how many of us are lucky enough to buy tickets for the super bowl at the official prices? The trouble with football’s big day is exactly that. It’s a big day, not a big a week. It really is a bit of marketing genius on the part of the National Football

Army Football Preview 2010

The Army Black Knights returned to Independent scheduling in 2005 after a brief stint in Conference USA.  Rich Ellerson took over as head coach last season and incorporated his triple option offense.  The Black Knights ended up winning five games and upset Vanderbilt as a 10 point underdog.  This season could be the first time in 14 years that Army reaches bowl play.  They have 16 returning starters and a true option style quarterback.  View the full conference breakdown in our 2010 Independent conference predictions article.

An option style offense is based on assignments, discipline and decision making.  Something the academy itself teaches everyday.  True freshman Trent Steelman was thrown into the mix immediately after winning the starting position in the month long camp that takes place prior to the start of the season.  Steelman battled injury issues throughout the first half of the season, but still ended up leading the team in rushing with 706

The Legend Of Babe Ruth

George Herman Ruth, better known as “Babe Ruth”, is widely regarded as the greatest baseball player in the history of the game. Also known as “The Bambino” and “The Sultan of Swat,” a virtual home run machine whose exploits off the diamond were as colorful as the wonders he pulled off while on it. He was a national icon in every sense of the word and one of the key figures of the Roaring Twenties of American history.

Ruth was among the first five players to be inducted to the Baseball Hall of Fame. He was the first truly great baseball player and his excellence on the field inspired everyone to watch the game, including several generations of great baseball players who would follow after him. Ruth was the first player to hit over 30, 40 and 50 home runs in one season. In the 1927 season, he slammed 60 home runs, a record which stood for 34 years until Roger Maris broke it in 1961.

Aside from the players, Ruth’s fame and athletic

Fantasy Tip of the Week

We are about 1/3 of the way through the 2006 MLB season, and whether you are doing well or are struggling, this is a crucial time. You know what categories you need to improve on and one of the best ways to improve your standing is to pick up guys who have started off slowly but are due to break out.  Here is a list of players to target who have had a bad spring but should soon get as hot as the weather:

Batters:
Marcus Giles, 2B, Atlanta -He is historically a .300 hitter who is currently hitting .235.  He’s a perfect buy-low candidate.

Manny Ramirez, OF, Boston – Usually good for 40 HRs and 130 RBIs, he is currently in single-digits in HRs and very low in RBIs.  He is the ONE player who is due to go crazy in the month of June.

Juan Pierre, OF, and Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Chicago

The History Of The Brooklyn Dodgers

The Brooklyn Dodgers are one of the most storied and fabled teams in all of baseball history. Most famous for their second baseman, Jackie Robinson, breaking the color barrier in not only baseball but all of professional sports, the Dodgers were one of the first teams to join the then-upstart National League. The Brooklyn Dodgers Baseball Club was established in 1883 and joined the now-defunct American Association the following year; they won the American Association Pennant in 1889 and joined the National League in 1890.

The Dodgers tried out a variety of nicknames before one finally stuck; they were originally called the Brooklyn Atlantics, and later the Brooklyn Grays. The New York City press even took to calling them the “Brooklyn Bridegrooms” when many of the players had gotten married in quick succession. The team earned the nickname “Trolley Dodgers” when they played at Eastern Park during the 1890s since the fans and players had trouble

Tips for Buying Sports Tickets

Tips For Buying Sports Tickets

Purchasing sports tickets can either be a very easy situation or become an unbarring ordeal. Much depends on how well the team is playing, the match up for the game and what part of the season it is. Of course getting tickets for a bad match up when your team is well below five hundred at the end of the season is a lot easier then getting tickets to the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees in game seven fighting it out for the division title and a spot in the World Series. Such great and classic match ups as the example above are what makes sports so entertaining and for fans the supply and demand factors of tickets become a major factor.

No matter what your favorite team or favorite sport to watch there is always a way to get a good seat to a game. The best way to locate sports tickets is always to buy them direct when they go on sale from the stadium or arena. In order to procure tickets for the
